Dec. 3-5: Light Park

The Light Park is an electric holiday light show featuring millions of lights synchronized to a festive mix of Christmas music. 5:30-11 p.m. $35 (per vehicle). Typhoon Texas Waterpark parking lot, 555 Katy Fort Bend Road, Katy. http://thelightpark.com

Dec. 4: Katy Old Fashioned Christmas Event

The 11th Annual Katy Old Fashioned Christmas Festival is this weekend located in Historic Downtown Katy and hosted by Katy Market Day. The festival will feature 185 vendors. This holiday event will feature produce, arts and crafts, antiques, clothing, accessories, jewelry, gifts, handmade goodies, delicious food trucks, entertainment, a beer garden, petting zoo, face painting and snow. Proceeds from the event will go to Katy Christian Ministry, and donations of canned goods for its pantry are requested.

Dec. 4: Candy Cane Market

This weekend local shoppers can visit the Candy Cane Market to browse among dozens of local vendors presenting handcrafted jewelry, custom clothing and accessories, home items, and more. While at Candy Cane Market, free photos with Santa and Mrs.Claus are available. A children’s bounce house will also be open. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Free (admission). Kane Quarter, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, Katy.

Dec. 4: The Farmers Market on Grand Parkway

This farmers market features locally grown produce, locally raised meats, farm fresh eggs, artisan crafts, handmade breads and baked goods, handmade soaps, jams and jellies, spices, snacks, herbs, flowers, plants and more. 8 a.m.-noon. Dec. 4: Katy Farmers Market
