As a city of faith steeped in strong family values, the City of Katy itself is home to more than a dozen formal places of worship, and over 60 places of worship extend throughout the Katy area.  These places of worship represent non-denominations as well as the denominations of Catholicism, Islam, Latter-Day Saints, Judaism, Hindu, and Protestantism.

The Katy community is comprised of residents that most frequently describe themselves as Baptist, Catholic, Eastern, Episcopalian, Islamic, Jewish, Latter-Day Saints, Lutheran, other Christian, Pentecostal, and Presbyterian.  This community of faith undertakes challenges together by finding points of convergence with the guidance of groups like the Katy Ministerial Alliance.
