Photo Gallery: The 2026 Katy Area Economic Outlook Summit

The Katy Area Economic Development Council and the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, proudly hosted the 2026 Katy Area Economic Outlook Summit on June 26, 2026, bringing together business leaders, elected officials, and industry experts to discuss the trends and investments shaping the future of the Katy region.

The event was made possible through the partnership between the Katy Area EDC and the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, with Memorial Hermann Katy serving as the Title Sponsor.

Texas State Representative Mike Schofield served as moderator for the summit, while Texas General Land Office Commissioner Dawn Buckingham delivered the opening keynote address.

Panel discussions and presentations included:

• Transportation Updates featuring Catherine McCreight (TxDOT) and Boyang Zhang (AECOM).
• Water Infrastructure featuring Harry Thompson (ABHR), Bill Callegari (TNG), and John Taylor (Municipal Operations & Consulting).
• Data Center Developers featuring Sam Hodge (WWT), David Holmes (Dell Energy), and Patrick Lawler (ZacTax).
• The TORO District presentation by Scott Shepard of the Houston Texans.
• Energy Panel featuring Bobby Hunt (Pneumatic & Hydraulic) and Jon Parrella (TerraFlow Energy).
• Regional Developments featuring Waller County Commissioner Justin Beckendorff, Rick Lawler (YCEF), and Jacob Rice (Johnson Development).

The Katy Area Economic Outlook Summit highlighted the collaborative efforts underway to advance infrastructure, economic opportunity, and regional development throughout the Greater Katy area.
