Spanning Harris, Fort Bend and Waller counties, the Katy area saw, on average, a 30.5% increase in population from 2014 to 2019 across its six ZIP codes.

Five of the six area ZIP codes saw an increase in median household income. On average, the Katy area saw an increase of 11.8% in median household income from 2014 to 2019, slightly less than the increases in Harris, Fort Bend and Waller counties.

Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2019 American Community Survey, Community Impact Newspaper looked at population growth, changes in median household income, the age breakdown, local demographic information, education attainment and the largest employment sectors.

Population change

Each Katy-area ZIP code saw population growth over the past five years; ZIP code 77441 observed the largest percent change in population, at 122.4%.
