On Wednesday, we had the chance to visit the Governor’s Mansion in Austin to celebrate the economic success of the Katy area, and our great state of Texas. I was honored to represent our organization alongside our office administrator Vanessa Wheeless and Board Chair Paul Kurt.

Katy Area EDC received the invitation from Governor Greg Abbott to recognize the role our organization played in Texas securing its record breaking 11th consecutive Governors Cup from Site Selection Magazine. For over 40 years, the Governor's Cup has recognized the nation's top-performing state for job-creating business relocations and expansions.

One specific project, the relocation of SRS Distribution to the Katy area, was highlighted. This project, along with our business attraction work across industry sectors, exemplifies why our organization was formed 20 years ago, and the critical role it continues to play in growing the Katy area.

We look forward to an even better 2023 and are confident the Katy area will continue to be a top destination for businesses and families.

If you are interested in getting involved with our organization or want to grow your business in the Katy area, feel free to reach out and I would be happy to talk.
