As summer approaches, some Katy residents are beginning to consider pursuing higher education in the fall. Whether residents want to earn an associate degree, a bachelor’s degree or just want to gain skills needed for a promotion, there are plenty of affordable, flexible options close to home.
1. University of Houston-Victoria at Katy
Enrollment: 4,350 (fall 2021)
Fall 2022 admission deadline: Aug. 5
Admission requirements: 2.0 GPA, must be within the top 50% of high school class rank, meningitis vaccination
Registration fee: $25
Average in-state tuition: $4,384 per semester

2. University of Houston at Katy
Enrollment: 353 (spring 2021)
Fall 2022 admission deadline: May 31
Admission requirements: 2.0 GPA, must be within the top 50% of high school class rank, meningitis vaccination
