Katy Area EDC hires Angie Thomason, Debbie Morris

Thomason (pictured left) will serve as Manager, Membership, Business Retention and Special Projects while Morris will handle administrative duties and provide project-related assistance. Both will serve to support the organization's vision of making the Katy area the location of choice for companies and families.
Thomason brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Katy area community to her new role. Prior to joining Katy Area EDC, Thomason was employed by Guaranty Bank & Trust where she was a Vice President of Treasury Management and Marketing/Business Development.
“I am excited to join Katy Area EDC and be part of the growth and success of the Katy area community,” stated Angie Thomason.
Thomason also previously worked for Westbound Bank as Vice President of Marketing/Business Development and served as Branch Manager of the Northwest Houston location. She has been involved in the local community as an Ambassador with the Katy Chamber of Commerce as well serving with the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce.
Morris (pictured left) relocated back to the Katy area after spending several years in Matagorda County. She most recently served as Port Director of Matagorda County Navigation District No. 1 where she was responsible for administration and management of MCND #1 personnel, subcontracts, finances, property, security, development and marketing. Prior to that role, she served as County Investment Officer and Office Manager for Matagorda County.
“A great number of exciting changes have taken place in the Katy area since I last resided here, and I can't wait to play a role in the continued development of the area,” stated Morris.
