Job Posting: Katy Area EDC seeks Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing communications plans and activities that promote the economic development and brand of the Katy, Texas area.  These plans include the marketing elements of Katy Area 2021, the Katy Area Strategic Economic Development Plan; and Katy Area EDC Annual Work Plans.  The position is a part-time, non-exempt position that reports to the President/CEO of the Katy Area EDC.  Responsibilities/duties include the management, review and coordination of the following:  public relations, media relations, advertising and informational materials, graphics, email, website, social media, branding and co-branding, editing and presentations. Experience:  One year in one or more related fields.  Education:  B.A. or B.S. in business, marketing, public relations or related field.   Hours:  25 to 29 per week, rate of pay based on experience, $18-$21/hour.
