Eleven Katy ISD schools ranked in top 25 in Houston area

Katy ISD has done it again, as 11 of its schools are named the best in a 2019 ranking released by Niche, a public data analysis site.
Four high schools and seven junior high schools made the list in separate categories in the the Top 25 2019 Best Public High Schools and Junior High Schools in the Houston Metropolitan Area.
The high schools ranked in the top 25 included Seven Lakes, Cinco Ranch, Tompkins and Taylor high schools. The junior high schools were Seven Lakes, Beck, Beckendorff, Woodcreak, McMeans, Memorial Parkway and Cinco Ranch junior high schools.
Chief Academic Officer Dr. Christine Caskey said in a statement the district was proud to have multiple campuses make the Niche Top List of Schools every year.
“The dedication and passion that goes into educating our students is a reflection of our tradition of educational excellence,” Caskey said.
Carnegie Vanguard High School was named the no.1 high school in Houston, while Klein High School rounded out the list at no. 25.
Other schools that topped the list were in the Conroe ISD, Fort Bend ISD and the Spring Branch ISD.
