TerraFlow Energy, a leading innovator in flow battery technology, has entered into a joint development and services agreement with Pneumatic & Hydraulic Co. (P&H), a specialist in fluid power solutions. This collaboration will accelerate the design, assembly, and commercialization of next-generation flow battery systems, enhancing energy resilience across critical sectors.

Under the agreement, P&H will provide advanced engineering, manufacturing, and integration services for TerraFlow’s energy storage solutions. The partnership is focused on optimizing flow battery system design, refining manufacturing processes, and establishing a robust supply chain to meet the growing demand for long-duration energy storage.

“This agreement marks a pivotal moment for TerraFlow as we scale our technology to meet real-world energy challenges,” said Jon Parrella, Founder and CEO of TerraFlow Energy. “P&H brings decades of expertise in industrial engineering and fluid power solutions, making them an ideal partner in advancing our flow battery systems toward commercialization.”

As part of the collaboration, P&H will contribute design and development resources, including structural, electrical, and fluid integration for TerraFlow’s energy storage systems. The agreement also includes a phased approach to equity participation, aligning P&H’s contributions with key development milestones.

“Energy storage is a critical enabler of grid modernization and industrial decarbonization,” said Bret Adams, Member/Manager of Pneumatic & Hydraulic Co. “By working alongside TerraFlow, we are leveraging our engineering expertise to help bring a scalable, high-performance flow battery solution to market.”

The joint development effort will initially focus on TerraFlow’s 1 MW and 10 MW systems, with additional engineering dedicated to next-generation storage solutions. Key initiatives include:

-Skid and structural design to support large-scale energy storage deployments.
-Integrated system controls for optimized performance and reliability.
-Advanced fluid management solutions to enhance battery efficiency.
-Manufacturing process refinement for cost-effective production and deployment.

With a shared commitment to innovation, TerraFlow and P&H aim to establish a manufacturing and supply framework that supports large-scale deployment of flow battery systems for grid applications, industrial use cases, and off-grid energy solutions.

The agreement is effective immediately, with both companies working toward key project milestones that will position TerraFlow’s flow battery technology for commercial adoption.
