New American Wire Group facility poised to bring more jobs to Katy Main Photo

American Wire Group, a supplier of wires, cables and other equipment for the electric utility and renewable markets, announced the opening of a national distribution facility in Katy.

The new 205,000-square-foot distribution center off of Katy Brookshire Road will bring an estimated 30-50 new jobs to Katy over the next three years, according to a news release.

“Opening up a facility in Texas has been a priority for the company following our mission to empower a better world. From this facility, we will be able to deliver products and services with shorter lead times,” American Wire Group CEO Michael Dorfman said in the release.

The Katy facility, which will be the primary service center for customers in the Central and Southern United States, will begin operating in early 2023. www.buyawg.com/
