Typhoon Texas hiring roughly 1,000 summer employees

Typhoon Texas Water Park is already gearing up for its 2021 summer season. The water park is currently hiring 1,000 new part-time employees in advance of its opening day on May 29.

According to Bernard Kaplan, public relations representative for Typhoon Texas, positions are available in water safety, food and beverage service, retail, cash control, front gate admissions and other areas.

Seasonal employees will have complimentary friends and family passes and free admission to the park on their days off. Typhoon Texas also has a college and trade school scholarship program for outstanding employees.

Job applications are available at www.typhoontexas.com. Completed applications will be reviewed by the park’s management team, and interviews will be conducted both in-person and virtually, Kaplan said.

“Our team members learn job skills that will serve them well in the future, regardless of the career path they choose,” said Typhoon Texas president and general manager Evan Barnett.

Typhoon Texas is located at 555 Katy Fort Bend Road. The 25-acre water park features more than 30 water slides, a lazy river the length of five football fields, a Texas-sized wave pool and a large children’s play area.

Typhoon Texas also has onsite restaurants, food stations, and a full-service bar.
