The biannual Katy Sip N Stroll will return this fall for an in-person fundraiser event.

Attendance will be capped at 35%, and there will be safety protocols in place as attendees enjoy a selection of wines, according to a press release.

"Sip N Stroll was created to raise funds for The Ballard House, and funding is needed especially now," said Constance McDerby, founder and co-producer of Sip N Stroll. "We had to find a safe way to move forward to help generate the funding they depend on from Sip N Stroll."

Katy Sip N Stroll will be at a new venue: The Ark by Norris at 21402 Merchants Way, Katy, per the release.

The event will feature an auction and wine pull to benefit The Ballard House, which offers free housing to patients and their caregivers who travel to the Greater Houston area for medical treatment.

"The Ballard House is a symbol of the warm and welcoming spirit of Katy's community," Ballard House Executive Director Kathy Alt said. "The need for housing assistance has exploded the last couple of years. Now is a critical time to support [us]."

Sip N Stroll will be modified for people to move through the event with a reservation group and away from groups they do not know.

Modifications include:

  • touch-free, drive-thru check-in;
  • 40 distanced stations with exhibitors wearing face masks;
  • event monitors to ensure attendees follow safety protocols;
  • food offered in single-served portions;
  • over 100 wine and craft beer offerings; andlive music.
