Below, please find a statement from Katy Area EDC regarding the Strike Force to Open Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott recently announced a plan to begin reopening our state. The working group, named Strike Force to Open Texas, will share guidelines and protocols on how to safely begin reopening businesses and services.

As an organization, we look forward to businesses reopening in our great state and the Katy area, and understand the importance of getting Texans back to work. In order to ensure the safety of those throughout our community and state, we encourage all businesses and individuals to strictly follow the information outlined by the strike force.

Katy Area EDC will closely monitor updates from the group and adhere to the guidelines provided. Please remember, social distancing can save lives and we strongly encourage people to continue to follow this critically important practice.
