Texas Children’s Urgent Care West Campus clinic is now open, offering pediatric care in a convenient community location.

Located at 18200 Katy Freeway, Suite WD-200 Houston, TX 77094, this clinic is next to the Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus Emergency Center, to provide an alternate care site for families in the West Houston area in need of lower-acuity care. The 4,250 square-foot clinic has 11 exam rooms, X-ray on-site and a spacious waiting area adorned with vibrant murals, providing a relaxing, child-friendly atmosphere.

Texas Children’s Urgent Care West Campus is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. This clinic is staffed by board-certified pediatricians and pediatric focused advanced practice providers who diagnose and treat a wide variety of ailments, illnesses and conditions, including: asthma, strep throat, fever, minor burns, influenza, ear infections, allergic reactions and more. Procedures provided include: breathing treatments, fracture care and splinting, IV (intravenous) fluids, laceration repair and X-rays onsite.

Texas Children’s Urgent Care also offer a “Save my Spot” option which allows parents to reserve a spot in line by registering online with an estimation of when they can expect their child to be brought back into an exam room. Families using Save my Spot should try to arrive at least 10 minutes before their selected time.

Oftentimes, families turn to an emergency center when a significant event occurs with their child. Though the emergency center is the right place for some incidents or ailments, the majority of the time, minor illnesses can and should be treated at a pediatric urgent care facility.

Texas Children’s Urgent Care does not replace the need for children to have a general pediatrician. Routine physical exams and vaccinations are services that should be obtained from a general pediatrician, and these services are not available at Texas Children’s Urgent Care.
