Katy Area EDC set to relocate to new office
4 Sep 2018
The Katy Area Economic Development Council will be relocating to a new office effective Monday, September 10. The organization will move to an office in the Grandway West Business Park located at Grand Parkway and Franz Road.
Currently, Katy Area EDC leases space from Katy ISD in the former Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union at 438 FM 1463 in Katy. In 2017, Katy Area EDC signed a one-year lease with Katy ISD following its purchase of the former credit union building. The building currently houses human resources operations for Katy ISD in the majority of the facility.
Following a search conducted by the Katy Area EDC Facilities Task Force comprised of Woody Mann, Jr. (chair), John Leonard, Paul Kurt and Chad Craft, the new office location was selected.
“The task force worked diligently for over a year to identify a new office location and I’d like to thank them for their work,” said Katy Area EDC Board Chairman Woody Mann, Jr.
The new office at 2002 W. Grand Parkway North Suite 220 Katy, TX 77449 (second floor) will occupy just over 2,200 square feet and the space will be constructed to allow the organization to continue to effectively and efficiently serve the Katy area community.
"We look forward to relocating to our new office, and we would like to thank Katy ISD for the opportunity to lease office space over the last year,” said Katy Area EDC President/CEO Lance LaCour.
Grandway West is being developed by InSite Realty Partners/Urban Construction. Parker Burkett of Transwestern assisted with the deal. Katy Area EDC would like to thank InSite Realty Partners/Urban Construction for the opportunity to locate in its office facility.
