Norris Centers recently announced the opening of its news venue in the Houston market, The ARK in Katy.

The ARK is a standalone building is located at 21402 Merchants Way in Katy, north of I-10 and east of Mason Road. The facility is available for meetings, corporate usage and social gatherings. It features a large main ballroom with adjacent patio as well as two meeting rooms. This is the sixth facility for Norris Centers, which has been operating conference centers and social venues for more than 30 years in Texas.

“I was impressed by how elegant the venue is and how well it will fit in to our portfolio,” Norris Centers President Gerald Mosley said.

Like all Norris Centers properties, it is full service with extensive catering, audio-visual and free wi-fi.

“Both the venue and the ample free parking are in line with elements that Norris Centers looks for in its properties,” said David Norris, CEO and founder of Norris Centers.

The ARK features a 3,200 square-foot ballroom, with floor to ceiling windows, a “drop down” ceiling fixture that allows for ceiling decorations to be easily added, and hardwood floors.

“With a history of over 30 years of hosting meetings, seminars, holiday parties and wedding ceremonies and receptions, we feel confident our guests will love the level of service they will enjoy at this venue,” Norris said. “Our attention to details and our approach to assisting our clients with decisions, will help ensure the success of events hosted at this new location.”

The ARK is open for business and has hosted guests for tours. Staff is following all social distancing and safety protocols while touring and hosting events. The venue was originally designed to host social events but will now be a mixed-use venue, similar to, but on a smaller scale than the Norris Centers and Red Oak Ballroom-Houston/CityCentre venue. Norris Centers also operates the Norris Conference Centers-Houston Westchase in the greater Houston area.

Norris operates six venues in Texas, with locations in Austin, San Antonio and Dallas, and three in the Greater Houston area. Norris also owns and operates Catering by Norris in the San Antonio and Houston markets.
