The Katy Area Economic Development Council has added two new faces to its team.
Angie Thomason is the EDC’s new manager of membership, business retention and special projects, according to an Oct. 14 press release. Debbie Morris will perform administrative duties and assist with projects.
Before coming to the Katy Area EDC, Thomason was the vice president of management and marketing/business development at Westbound Bank, per the release, and she has been involved with the chambers of commerce in Katy and Cy-Fair.
Morris, meanwhile, more recently serviced as the port director of Matagorda County Navigation District No. 1. Before that, she was the county investment officer and office manager for Matagorda County, according to the release.
“We are pleased to welcome Angie and Debbie to the team and look forward to their contributions to the success of our organization and the Katy area,” EDC President and CEO Lance LaCour said in the press release.
