BAE cuts another 600 jobs. The company announced last week that it would reduce its workforce by roughly 600 positions through June 2011.
The cuts are in line with the company’s announcement last year that it planned to cut 1,100 to 1,300 positions at the Sealy plant following news that the plant had lost the FMTV government contract it had held for more than 17 years.
Company officials noted the cuts are in an effort to control costs and ensure it remains competitive in the marketplace.
