Perry's Steakhouse signs lease with LaCenterra
Mark Collins, vice president and chief operations officer for Perry's Restaurants, said in an interview last week that Perry's has signed a lease agreement with LaCenterra to open a restaurant in the development.
Rumors had been swirling in the Katy area that the restaurant chain had pulled out of a deal that would have seen a restaurant open late this year in LaCenterra at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard.
Collins said there were leasing issues that had been ironed out. He said the restaurant would be a 7,500 square-foot free standing facility.
The Houston-based, family-owned company has a reputation for spotting good locations for new restaurants.
Collins said the Katy location would be similar in layout and décor to the 9,500-square-foot Sugar Land location. He said:
We're very excited about coming to Katy. LaCenterra is a great facility.
Nick Hernandez, a retail broker with Houston-based Page Partners which represents LaCenterra, confirmed Friday that LaCenterra had signed the agreement with Perry's. He said:
We should be breaking ground any day.
Collins said he hopes the restaurant will open early next year. Original projections were for a November opening.
Hernandez said Phase I of the LaCenterra development is pretty much leased out and he is already working leases for Phase II.
