Workforce office says job seekers optimistic

Job seekers aren’t walking into the Workforce Solutions’ office in Katy Mills mall with a dour or hostile countenance.

They’re confident that they will find what they’re looking for, even if the numbers are only slightly more encouraging than they were two months ago.

“It depends on how long they’ve been looking, but most are optimistic,” services coordinator Jim Ashlock said. “I guess it’s a trait for a lot of people.

State, City, County, and Other Entities Work Together to Reduce Tiny Particle Levels

In another example of Texas’ improving air quality, the EPA announced that it agrees with the TCEQ, and that the Houston area is meeting federal guidelines for a type of particulate matter called PM2.5. PM2.5, which is composed of tiny particles less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter, can be hazardous in heavy concentrations.

Pointsmith To Open New 240,000 Square-Foot Headquarters In Katy

Katy will soon be home to the new headquarters of Pointsmith, a 60-year-old point-of-purchase provider of advertising and related management services.

The company is making the move from its current 100,000 square-foot building near Eldridge Parkway north of the Katy Freeway to a larger 240,000 square-foot facility at 21202 Park Row Drive.
