The Plan

Over recent decades, the Katy Area has emerged as one of Greater Houston’s prime suburban areas based on its excellent school district, award-winning residential communities, and access to major employers along the Energy Corridor. We believe the Katy Area is now primed for leveraging these assets to emerge as the next major employment growth center for Greater Houston. Managing growth that will inevitably occur in the Katy Area and maximizing opportunities will be critical in achieving a balanced and diversified economy and a broader tax base.   As the Katy Area continues to grow, the demand for a quality place to work and live will continue to increase. With the enthusiasm and commitment of dedicated leadership to the actions outlined in this plan,  the Katy Area will meet its potential.
