  • Upscale retail development to span 100 acres in Katy area

    Houston's retail landscape continues to boom, with a new upscale development coming to the Katy area.
    District West, a 100-acre mixed used development near the intersection of the Westpark Tollway and Peek Road, will offer restaurants, entertainment, retail and offices surrounded by green spaces and walkways.

    Kelsey-Seybold is already in place, with a 42,000-square-foot facility at one corner of the property. 

    Star Cinema Grill is expected to open a 10-screen movie theater on the site in Spring 2018, and the developer is targeting boutique-style retail and restaurants for a Summer 2018 opening.

    There will also be 120,000 square feet of office space available. Visitors will access District West via the Westpark Tollway, Peek Road and Bellaire Boulevard.

    The owner of the property is District West at Parkway Lakes, Ltd. Wulfe & Co.'s Kristin Barker is the brokerage landlord representative. Planning and design is by Perter Merwin of Gensler Architects. Landscape design is by TBG Landscape and tenant management is by Rotheschild Downes.
