Incumbent Fabol Hughes defeated Harold McBride in a race to represent Ward B on the Katy City Council.
Hughes received 258, votes or 87.16 percent of those cast during the regular city council election.
McBride received 38 votes or 12.84 percent.
A total of 296 city residents went to the polls in this year's election.
Of that, 103 cast their ballots early, and 193 voted on Election Day.
